Peer review:

Quite simply a superb lawyer. An effortless understanding of the law often across multiple jurisdictions, he has a gift for seeing the commercial and emotional landscape for his clients. An imposing figure, he is incredibly generous and kind and utterly lovely. Clients trust him and in return it is clear he genuinely cares. You couldn’t wish for a better person on your side through such a challenging time. From our perspective, it is a privilege to work with Sam.

Settling a very acrimonious divorce in three months

Sam acted in a very acrimonious divorce where the issues between the parties meant that settlement was impossible due to the level of mistrust and scope of provision both offered by the husband and sought by the wife. Instead of spending many months in fruitless negotiation, or stepping into the lengthy court process (which on the facts of the case would have taken 12-18 months to conclude), Sam obtained agreement from the other party for the matter to be arbitrated, in a private setting, with a qualified and experienced judge, and had the matter concluded within three months. The divorcing couple had all of their issues determined, avoided the risk of publicity, saved significant legal costs and were able to move forward with their lives in a fraction of the time it would otherwise have taken.
