Peer review:

I have always found Suzanne to be a fantastic people person, always there for her clients and always the ultimate professional. Her technical and strategic skills are excellent and she inspires trust and confidence in her judgement and advice. She actively contributes ideas as to how to improve and modernise family law. Suzanne is extremely well liked in the private client world because of her warmth and approachability as well as her sense of fun. An all round good egg.

Institutional client review:

Suzanne manages to combine being hugely likeable as an individual with being utterly professional with her clients. Many of them not surprisingly become good friends which is a great endorsement of her skills as a top family lawyer. She would always be at the top of my short list for a beauty parade.

Peer review:

One of London’s best Family lawyers and an expert tactician, Suzanne is adored by clients and fellow lawyers alike. She has led the way in bringing family arbitration and collaborative law to the UK and beyond. Suzanne has an unparalleled reputation for “giving back” both in terms of her contributions to the development of family dispute resolution services in England and the wider community. Tough principled and exceptionally likeable, Suzanne is a role model for all family lawyers.

Suzanne is rightly acknowledged as one of the leading family law practitioners. She combines excellent technical knowledge with a practical approach.

Peer review:

I have referred a number of clients to Suzanne over the years. I have found her to be immediately responsive, diligent and detailed whilst being totally human (which in my experience is not always the case when dealing with highly successful lawyers), practical and results oriented. I would have no hesitation in referring her.

Peer review:

Suzanne has a huge breath of knowledge and the experience to deliver relevant advice very clearly. I have no hesitation in recommending her to my clients.

Peer review:

Suzanne is approachable, accessible, diligent and professional. She strives to achieve the best outcome for her client, understanding the relative merits and pitfalls of all of the options available. Whilst having the ability to understand the complex aspects of the matter in hand she is also personable and able to guide and support her client as required. Suzanne is a pleasure to deal with. She is both empathetic and straightforward. She holds her client’s best interests at the forefront whilst seeking to find an outcome which is reasoned and well-considered.

Private client review:

Suzanne has a grasp of every angle of family law and the many nuances that come with both a simple and a complex divorce. She is tenacious and a complete rock. What stands out for me about Suzanne however is the meditative approach she will adopt for her clients where appropriate. What could be better - strength, technical excellence, tenaciousness and the ability to achieve the best results for all her clients without creating unnecessary combat between the parties – combat that often does little to change the ultimate outcome. Suzanne will avoid where possible taking her clients through long and bitter court battles and that is another major differentiator. This is an adviser who is not living in the old and antagonistic days of family law – her approach is modern and forward thinking and reflective of today’s changing and challenging society. I would recommend her every time.

Suzanne acted for me in an international divorce and financial case. I always felt in safe hands and was impressed by Suzanne's ability to respond to my queries. She had a firm grasp of the facts and details of my case and was able to be approachable and amenable on the one hand but showed a steely edge where necessary. I have no hesitation in recommending her to other clients.

Suzanne has worked with my clients for over a decade and exudes proficiency in all aspects of family work, including prenuptial agreements, cohabitation matters and resolving complex financial issues for high net worth families. Suzanne is able to maintain a clear hand, she’s sympathetic and will avoid court where possible. She will always get my 5*vote.

Divorce of a high net worth individual who does not live in the UK

I acted for a high net worth individual who does not live in the UK. He asked for advice about divorce proceedings in various jurisdictions where he could potentially raise a claim. I collated that information and ultimately decided the best jurisdiction for him. I then obtained all of the financial disclosure required in the case (which was voluminous) together with detailed tax advice from the relevant jurisdictions and commenced a negotiation with the wife's solicitor to resolve the case without the necessity of Court proceedings. Ultimately, a swift solution was found having "front loaded" all of the work . The client was very pleased with the outcome particularly since he knew his case was difficult but was grateful it was resolved quickly and amicably. He has subsequently referred many other clients to me.
