Top 100 Private Client Lawyers 2021
Relationships are a pivotal part of the private client relationship and the Covid time period saw media reports of domestic abuse; financial problems and mental anxiety. Were these reports accurate and how did the private client industry respond? Many said that dealing with adversity is part of a normal day for a lawyer which seems like a fair comment. Others said client demands became overwhelming, leaving them little time to do anything else other than manage the situation. Yet some, developed tech to support clients, many offered fixed fee and fee reduction to prevent further personal worry; some got involved with pro bono work for the disadvantaged during this time. Situations emerged that had not been encountered before particularly in schools with decisions made by government about how exams would be judged and awarded. This survey unfortunately reveals that there was physical domestic abuse, financial non payment but also a development with crypto clients entering the industry and some crypto normalization. Also elderly education on tech and lots of compliance to Covid regulations whilst very few bucked the trend and just went through the travel pain barrier to still see clients in person. Citywealth is proud to present the Top 100 Private Client Lawyers for 2021 who really went above and beyond for their clients during the pandemic.
